Getting started

Install

1. Download bee and open the installer. It's signed and notarized by Apple, so it opens without warnings.
2. The installer places bee in your Applications and its input method in ~/Library/Input Methods.

First launch

1. Open bee and grant microphone access when asked — dictation runs entirely on your Mac.
2. bee downloads its speech model the first time (a few hundred megabytes, once).
3. If prompted, enable bee under System Settings → Keyboard → Input Sources.

Dictate

Hold Right Option (⌥) and speak. Release to insert the text wherever your cursor is — in any app.

Trial & license

bee is free to try for 14 days. After that, enter your license key in Settings → License to keep dictating. One purchase covers your Mac.
